To change the material size select an option from the material size menu that is closest to your material size.
Wherever you drag the design on the mat the position will be locked in and your cricut will cut it out in that exact position on your mat.

In most cases this is perfect and we can move forward with our project.

Cricut design space doesn t autosave your projects therefore and as a good practice i recommend you to save your project after you place the first piece shape or image on the canvas area.
